My stay at the Willard Intercontinental Washington was truly nice. The hotel’s stunning architecture and rich history captivated me, and the staff's attention to detail made every moment special. However, I did have some frustrations related to the room amenities that detracted from the overall experience.

Rooms

The Queen Room with Two Queen Beds was spacious and beautifully decorated, providing comfort during my stay. However, I found the lack of a refrigerator and microwave quite inconvenient, especially with the high room rates.

The staff was exceptionally welcoming and attentive, particularly Ali Ozen, who went above and beyond to enhance my stay. They even surprised my mum with a cupcake and champagne for her birthday, which was a lovely gesture.

Although I enjoyed the on-site dining, I found the prices to be on the higher side. The café next door provided a more affordable option that was quite nice.

5.2/10

I had high expectations for my stay at The Willard Intercontinental, especially with its rich history and beautiful architecture. While the location was fantastic, just a block from the White House and major attractions, my experience fell short due to several service issues. The room was comfortable, but my check-in process was frustrating, and my in-room surprise never arrived despite me paying for it. I would suggest checking out other hotels in the area before settling on this one.

Rooms
7.0
My room was spacious and comfortable, but it felt a bit dated and could use some updating. The walk-in shower had great water pressure, which I appreciated.
Service
5.0
The service had its moments, but I was left disappointed by the inconsistency. My early check-in request was mishandled, and it took too long for me to get a response about the amenities I ordered.
Location

The location is unbeatable if you're a tourist; it's super close to the National Mall and other landmarks, making it easy to explore the city. I loved being within walking distance of everything I wanted to see.
Dining

I enjoyed breakfast at Cafe du Parc; the food was tasty but on the pricier side. It was nice to have options, even if they were a bit steep.
Facilities

The hotel has some decent facilities, but I wish they offered a better selection of amenities. Their room service was quick, which was a plus.

Staying at the Willard Intercontinental was a blend of beautiful surroundings and some frustrating moments. The lobby was grand, and the location made it easy to explore Washington D.C. However, the issues with check-in and communication left me feeling underwhelmed. I hope for improvements in service next time.

7.4/10

The Willard Intercontinental boasts a fantastic location just a block from the White House, making it easy to explore. However, my experience was marred by disappointing service; for instance, I had to manage my own luggage without assistance upon arrival. Overall, while my room was comfortable and spacious, the lack of attention to detail, especially for family accommodations, left much to be desired.

Rooms
7.0
I found the room to be spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful bathroom that featured excellent water pressure. However, despite being booked for three people, I was disappointed to find the sofa bed was not made up upon arrival, which added unnecessary stress for my family.
Service
5.0
The service overall was lacking. I was not greeted with the level of attention I’ve come to expect from IHG properties. Details like missing toiletries and an unmade sofa bed reflect a concerning oversight in guest management.

Dining

While I had the chance to enjoy breakfast at the Cafe du Parc, it was quite busy during the holiday weekend. Overall, the dining options seemed satisfactory, though there was some inconsistency with the timing of services.
Facilities

The facilities, including room service and housekeeping, had their moments. I appreciated the amenities available, but the housekeeping missed a few details that would make the stay more seamless, such as not providing enough water and toiletries for my son.

I had a wonderful experience during my stay at the Willard Intercontinental Washington. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, making me feel right at home. However, the afternoon tea service was a bit underwhelming—while the ambiance was good, the food didn't quite meet my expectations. Overall, I had a nice stay, especially due to the really good service.
